Baoshunchang Super Alloy (Jiangxi) Co., Ltd., a China-based manufacturer and processor of corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) line pipe, stainless steel seamless pipe and tubular products, today announced that the American Petroleum Institute (API) has issued it three official API Monogram licenses:
- API Spec Q1 (Quality Management System) — Registration No. Q1-6214, 10th Edition
- API Spec 5CRA (CRA Seamless Tubes for Casing, Tubing and Coupling Stock) — License No. 5CRA-0045
- API Spec 5LC (Coiled Line Pipe) — License No. 5LC-0148
All three certificates are effective September 18, 2026, and valid through September 18, 2029. They authorize Baoshunchang Super Alloy (Jiangxi) Co., Ltd. — located at No. 1299 Nanyuan Avenue, GH Tech Development Zone, Xinyu, Jiangxi — to bear the official API Monogram on the certified product families manufactured at that site.
Scope of certification
The API Q1 registration confirms that Baoshunchang’s quality management system has been assessed against API Spec Q1, 10th Edition, and applies to the manufacture of CRA line pipe, stainless steel seamless pipes, and tubes for the oil and natural gas industry. Design is excluded from the quality-management scope, consistent with the license terms.
The API 5CRA license authorizes the company to manufacture casing, tubing and coupling stock under both PSL 1 and PSL 2, covering the following alloy groups and UNS designations:
- Group 2 (duplex / super-duplex), Category 25-7-4, Grade 80, Delivery Condition CH
- Group 3, Category 27-31-4, Grade 110, Delivery Condition CH
- Group 4, Category 21-42-3, Grade 110, Delivery Condition CH
- PSL 2: UNS S32750 (super-duplex) Grade 80, Delivery Condition SA
- PSL 2: UNS N08028 (Alloy 28) Grade 110, Delivery Condition SA
- PSL 2: UNS N08825 (Incoloy 825) Grade 110, Delivery Condition CH
The API 5LC license covers Baoshunchang as both manufacturer and processor of CRA line pipe, extending the certified offering from OCTG-style casing and tubing into long-length line-pipe applications used for offshore and onshore oil and gas gathering and transmission.
Why it matters for customers
For EPC contractors, OCTG distributors, line-pipe specifiers and operator procurement teams, an API Monogram license is no longer a marketing line — it is a documented qualification that the manufacturer’s process, product and quality system have passed third-party audit against defined, publicly available specifications.
For Baoshunchang’s customers, the three licenses provide three concrete assurances:
- System-level assurance (API Q1) — the factory’s quality system, planning, production control, inspection and corrective-action processes are audited to oil-and-gas-specific requirements, and will be maintained under annual surveillance audits and re-certification within the three-year cycle.
- Product-level assurance (API 5CRA) — CRA casing, tubing and coupling stock, including UNS S32750 super-duplex, UNS N08028 Alloy 28 and UNS N08825 Incoloy 825, are manufactured to the chemistry, mechanical-property, heat-treatment and NDT requirements defined in API 5CRA / ISO 13680.
- Line-pipe capability (API 5LC) — the company is authorized to both manufacture and process CRA line pipe, supporting subsea and onshore gathering-system projects.
A natural step for a growing CRA supplier
Baoshunchang Super Alloy (Jiangxi) Co., Ltd. has spent the past several years building its CRA pipe and tubular production capability, serving customers in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the CIS region with documentation to ASTM, ASME and NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 requirements. The award of Q1-6214, 5CRA-0045 and 5LC-0148 is the formal recognition of that investment, and allows the company to bid directly for operator tenders that require API-monogram suppliers.
“These three licenses are the result of more than a year of process documentation, product qualification, audit preparation and corrective work on the shop floor,” said the company’s sales director. “We received the certificates on the same day, September 18, 2026, and we look forward to supplying CRA tubulars and line pipe to customers who require the full API qualification package.”
What customers can expect
With the certificates in place, Baoshunchang will be able to:
- Offer CRA casing, tubing and coupling stock under API 5CRA / ISO 13680, carrying License No. 5CRA-0045
- Supply CRA line pipe under API 5LC, License No. 5LC-0148, as both manufacturer and processor
- Support tenders requiring an API Q1–certified quality system under Registration No. Q1-6214
- Maintain full material traceability from heat number to finished product, with third-party inspection by SGS, BV or DNV available on request
The licenses remain valid until September 18, 2029, subject to annual surveillance audits.
